The Challenge
Ahead of the summer travel surge, European airline Wizz Air faced intense competition across five key Polish metropolitan hubs. To capture vacationers planning seasonal getaways, the airline needed to build top-of-mind brand recall and drive booking consideration. The core objective was breaking through category noise and standing out against rival regional carriers by connecting with urban travelers through memorable storytelling across digital environments.
The Solution
In partnership with Mito Group and Teads, Wizz Air deployed a multi-screen strategy combining CTV HomeScreen and inRead to engage audiences across five major Polish cities.
Preview on mobile
CTV HomeScreen
Secured an unmissable presence on the TV home screen during initial viewing discovery, delivering high-impact video directly into living rooms to drive immediate reach, category preference, and viewer recall.
inRead
Engaged active readers within premium publisher environments, using interactive video and display creatives optimized by Teads Studio. This reinforced brand familiarity and correct brand attribution.
The Results
Conducted between April 27 and May 31, 2026, the Happydemics Brand Lift Study evaluated campaign performance across 500 total respondents – comparing 250 ad-exposed recallers against an unexposed control group of 250 non-recallers.
Complementary strengths
While both channels achieved an identical +20 pt lift in brand consideration, CTV HomeScreen acted as the primary driver for competitive preference (+16 pts vs. control), whereas inRead excelled at message retention with a +16 pts in brand attribution.
Reducing indecision
Campaign exposure on CTV HomeScreen cut the proportion of uncommitted consumers choosing "none of these" by 36 percentage points, dropping from 54% in the control group down to 18% among exposed viewers.
High-frequency impact on CTV
Over one third (37%) of exposed CTV viewers recalled seeing the campaign once or multiple times, solidifying brand salience during critical travel-booking windows.
In Our Clients' Words

"Teads’ multi-screen strategy across CTV and inRead proved that the two channels complement each other perfectly, driving exceptional attention and significant lifts in consideration and preference for Wizz Air."
