Teads’ 2025 Sustainability & Climate Update is structured primarily in alignment with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to support climate-related governance and disclosure readiness following the merger between Teads and Outbrain.

This report includes:

  • Alignment with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and consideration of relevant principles from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
  • Governance and oversight structures related to sustainability and climate-related risks.
  • An initial identification of environmental topics and climate-related risks relevant to the company’s operations and digital infrastructure.
  • Preliminary reporting boundaries for Scope 1, Scope 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions categories.
  • Consideration of environmental impacts associated with digital infrastructure, cloud computing, third-party data centers, and operational activities.
  • Sustainability initiatives related to campaign-level carbon measurement and digital advertising supply chains.
  • Reporting limitations, methodological assumptions, data constraints, and Teads future reporting roadmap.

Teads currently uses emissions measurement and reporting support tools, including Cedara and Scope3, as part of its ongoing development of greenhouse gas emissions visibility and reporting processes.

During the 2025 reporting period, Teads continued developing emissions visibility across operational activities and digital infrastructure dependencies. Preliminary emissions estimates currently under consolidation include approximately:

  • Scope 2 emissions: ~820 tCO2e
  • Scope 3 emissions: ~356,917 tCO2e

These figures are preliminary, subject to ongoing methodological refinement, reporting boundary harmonization, and data validation processes following post-merger integration activities.

As an adtech company operating primarily through digital infrastructure and third-party technology ecosystems, Teads understands that a significant portion of its estimated environmental footprint is associated with indirect emissions connected to cloud infrastructure, third-party data centers, digital delivery systems, supply-chain activities, and business travel.

As part of our post-merger integration activities, reporting methodologies, organizational boundaries, governance systems, and data collection processes continue to mature. Certain disclosures within this update remain qualitative or subject to ongoing harmonization and validation.

Teads continues strengthening sustainability governance through:

  • Establishment of a Climate Risk Working Group
  • Progressive integration of climate-related considerations into Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
  • Monitoring of California SB-261 and SB-253 climate disclosure requirements
  • Evaluation of infrastructure efficiency and vendor sustainability practices
  • Participation in industry sustainability initiatives, including IAB Europe, IAB France, IAB Tech Lab, and the Global Media Sustainability Framework (GMSF)

Teads also continues supporting sustainability-related collaboration and measurement initiatives through campaign-level carbon estimation methodologies and prior participation in the ADEME-supported NegaOctet Life Cycle Assessment initiative for digital advertising services.

  • Future reporting cycles are expected to further strengthen:
  • Quantitative emissions reporting
  • Infrastructure efficiency and vendor sustainability visibility
  • Climate-related scenario analysis
  • Climate-related risk and materiality assessment processes
  • Governance integration
  • Reporting methodologies and data assurance processes
