Teads’ Engineering Director Alban Perillat-Merceroz joined Google Product Lead Vidya Shanmugam at Google Cloud Next ’23 to share Teads’ Data Stack evolution and how its Petabyte-scale data infrastructure is such a critical component of its end-to-end platform.
Diving deep on Teads’ journey in managing a tremendous volume of data for its 1.9 billion users, Alban showcases internal and external use cases that enable informed data-driven decisions, as well as the management tools and technologies Teads puts in place to include S3, Spark, BigQuery and Looker.
Alban also examines the challenges associated with cross-cloud infrastructures, including AWS and Google Cloud. He explains: “We can summarize all of these challenges into a single one – it is becoming more and more complex to deal with data.”
With the goal to rationalize its data stack, Teads is now investing in reducing this complexity.
